Peppery: I called Tuesday about it and supposedly a tech was meant to come by today at the latest, no show yet so I've called back to rearrange for them to come out.

Haven't tried a factory reset yet, seems it came loaded with someone else's settings initially. Will try that when I get home. At the moment the Dynalink is working fine, I may end up just returning the Genius.


OH that was your birdsnest?  Yeah could be causing NDT or .. honestly all kinds of problems if you've not had it sorted yet.  I'd start there.  Not saying there is not another fault as well.

I'm afraid it is. I shall arrange for the filter to be installed this weekend (Internet speed is a higher priority) and test to see if we can get a dialtone prior to the birdsnest. According to the landlord the previous tenants didn't have any issues with their phone.
