Any update from Chorus?

Vector were upgrading the power cables in the area yesterday, so I guess it was them.

Have wifi tethered to Android device so old Vodafone 3G is keeping us going.

Bummer huh, looks like Henderson area is affected too!

Good on you for organising your own SLA contingency for your business connection, and not complaining "but this connection is critical to my business and I'm losing $$$ every micro second that my best efforts DSL is down" laughing

Chorus has spent $1.4 billion on making their ADSL broadband network faster. Why not spend a couple of hundred to make sure you are getting the most out of your connection?
Geekzone special price: $150* for master splitter install, normally $200+ through your ISP. Auckland and Waikato areas.
*Travel charges may apply. Additional costs may apply for complex installs.
I install - Naked DSL, DSL Master Splitters, VoIP, RBI Rural Broadband. Also a dealer for WorldxChange.

latest update on website

17/04 9.20am - MSAN’s in the Titirangi area have come back online at around 6am this morning. We are still seeing a number of customers in the Henderson area who are still down, it is anticipated that this will be restored further today as the fiber splicing progresses.

Yeah sometimes freak things like this happen i.e. storm hits, loose MSANs in the area, then the power goes out around most places, the technicians working to repair this will be getting a bit of heat to get this restored. Conditions though may not be aiding in restoration.
