Just googled JC Matthew remote issues and found this forum. There are a LOT of people out there having this problem. Add us in. Looking forward to a quick solution.
Thanks everyone for your helpful suggestions. Nice to know others are in the same boat (but sorry at the same time that others are having to deal with this annoyance).

bazzer: According to the update here (https://www.dropbox.com/sh/99ijdy2d5vkvke5/LjsBjkHYYL) it's going to be a few weeks before things are working properly for the Zinwell. Hopefully this will also be applicable for this box.

Interesting site - how did you find that?

Yep, same damn problem here with my JCMatthew DVR320T
I was quite close to throwing the decoder out the window... on many occasions.

I found this forum post a few months ago when this problem first cropped up (when Mediaworks signal "updated") and there were no comments other than asking for driver updates. I've just checked back in and i'm surprised (yet strangely relieved) to see pages and pages of posts all with the same problem. Thankfully I'm not the only one experiencing intense and overwhelming rage over this fault.

Anyways, last week I decided to ditch the malfunctioning decoder before I had to be taken away and put in a padded white cell. I made the decision to build a Home Theater PC instead... now i'm going through all the set-up woes getting Freeview TV tuner cards working on windows 8 etc... i don't know what's more infuriating - the JCMatthew DVR320T in it's current state, or problem solving issues with the new PC setup.

Hopefully they (Freeview/JCMatthew/Taiwanese manufacturer) end up resolving the issue... but i'm not holding my breath. They already have our money, and from what I've read, the set-top box is no longer being sold. So where's the motivation to actually resolve this problem??

It was in a similar thread here about the Zinwells.

My JC Matthews box has just started working right on TV3 playback of a new recording. Fast forwards, rewinds, pauses are all working again.

Haven't updated the box at all... it just works.

Hey guys, I got the same outcome as hdinsider last night from my JC Matthews box. Much better response from the remote while watching a recorded programme (and I didn't have to pull my aerial out). You may have seen an "Updating channel information" message pop up on your tv screens on Monday night - I think this may have something to do with it. However, there was still some freezing on the programmes I have recorded since this message. I will do a reboot tonight and see if that fixes the problem.

no change on my jcm, still slow, freezes and queues remote control commands. However I haven't tried anything like resetting and scanning for channels again etc, might do that tonight,

No change on my JCM 320t. Still slow to respond to remote.
I wonder if maybe freeview have rolled out change in one region only as a test.

Me in dunedin.

Well, my JC Matthews is still not performing.  Watching a recorded programme with the aerial connected is a nightmare. The freezing and pixelation problems haven't gone away, and fast forwarding and rewinding is torture until I pull the aerial out.  Has anybody heard if there are similar problems with the Panasonic PVR's?

Mine is a bit better but far from normal. How long must we wait for a solution?

this is very frustrating, over a month and no fix in sight, worse of all mine now keeps loosing all preset programs time to time having to rebook everything.

Same here Chats.  Mine keeps losing recordings.  Also when I fast forward on some programs I get pixelated images so can't see the image and it doesn't count correctly.  I spoke to the JCMatthew support centre who have put my name on the mailing list to notify me when the FW has been released.

I really hope it's soon. Forgot to plug the aerial in after Tuesday night's watching so missed all the recordings from last night!

Has anybody else noticed a vast improvement in using the EPG and fast forwarding/rewinding/pausing programmes recorded since last Saturday night? And all with the aerial still connected.  I also believe the pixelation and freezing problems may have gone (touch wood).  However, I'm not keen to let JC Matthew know just yet as I still think they need to come back to us with a total explanation and fix.

I noticed an improvement last night but thought it may of just been a fluke as it is a bit tempermental?
