HI Jimmy,

seems it does not record series unfortunately
but the app is really cool - it has all the necessary features -browsing, a nice EPG, scrolling with simple hand gestures.
I like it very much

with a series record and storage and energy star compliance that box indeed be a no brainer , but with out those it lacks key features for me unfortunately.

if those featutes were added to a PVR it would be utterly fantastic

Since the most recent firmware upgrade I have noticed an EPG issue.

Canterbury TV guide is gone & is replaced with TVHB guide. [We are in Canterbury].

All versions of firmware since April 22, 2013 used the same MHEG engine to run the EPG.  The described EPG issue is very unlikely to be caused by a firmware change.

Please try to do a factory reset.  If problem persists, you may consult Dish TV, our distributor, and/or ask Freeview and the broadcaster.

OK, will try that. I have another freeview box in the house that doesn't have this problem.

There must have been some issue with transmission - my 3600 in Auckland auto tuned to TVHB on channel 48, but when I tried that channel, just got the 'No signal' message. I deleted it and it has't returned.

A factory reset fixed the problem, however the spousal unit was none too pleased to have to re-enter all her recordings.

Another problem that has been around for a while - sometimes after you fast-forward, when you press 'play' you get stuck in a ~30-second loop, and have to jump forward or back to get out of it. Very annoying when that happens.

I've seen this problem on the 3600 model too, mostly on Prime but that might just be what we're recording. Try pressing the play button again.

Yay for randomly stabbing the remote in frustration.

same issue also on prime mostly ,  frame rate issue ?      i rewind and play again to solve that...  worst ever was having to rewind 15 mins of recording, finally got it to go and left it there till the end.. no playback issue, just a resynk? issue if i fast forward.   AND NOW no sound unless i pause and play on occasion.

Great if prime went HD huh ?

Instead of doing a factory reset, perhaps you may try doing an Autoscan Channel.  This step will not clear the bookings in To-Do List.

I had the same thing with Hawkes Bay TV appearing in the listing (but not working) and Central TV missing (I'm in south Waikato), I just did a rescan and it fixed the epg so central appears and hawkes bay is gone, so try a rescan rather than a reset, i'd hate to have to redo all my recording setups

Ah and the reason I came here in the first place, am I able to access my MagicTV using my PC over the network to watch recordings,

1. Please empty the trash folder in Recorded Programme List
2. Please perform Settings -> Recording -> Advanced -> Check and Repair System HDD
3. If you don't need timeshift, turn it off in Settings -> Timeshift -> Instant Rewind
