Does anybody know if you can hack these to connect to MediaPortal's TV Server? Would make an awesome extender!

CutCutCut: So the cheaper one, the WDTV Live HD (I think), is the interface pretty rubbish or is it ok to use?
The interface is OK marginally better than my old PCH but nothing to rave about. Also the cellfone remote control apps don't seem to work on these older models.
With the new firware update, the android app now works with the Live HD. I haven't played around with it much yet, so dunno what it's like, seemed easier just to use the remote for everday navigating around.
