Ported VF numbers and UK VF sms update

I have seen the warning on the 2D website about problems persisting with txts between UK VF and ported VF numbers on the 2D network.
Is there still a big problem with txts between 2D and UK VF or is it now just a problem with ported numbers.
I did a search but there was nothing in 2012. So can anyone enlighten me - is it status quo?
I txt a lot of UK VF numbers so there is no point in porting my number to 2D if this is the case.
Thanks
