Hi

Is it possible to block someone (another 2 degrees customer, with 021 prefix) from calling or txting you?

If so, do they get a message saying they are blocked or what happens when they try to call or txt you.
Ideally I wouldn't want any notification that they had called or txt and I wouldn't want them sent to voicemail either.

Thanks
Kiwi

I believe Vodafone are the only carrier to offer this service, and it only applies to SMS and MMS.

In cyanogen mod you can blocks calls, but I think they get put to voice mail. There is android app I found that will answer + immediately hang up calls from a black list.

There is a call rejection option on ICS 4.0.3, you can add numbers etc.

Or you could switch to a 10 year old Nokia. They had this feature!

Hi, we're working on a blocking service, however if you're receiving any threatening or nuisance calls or texts please let us know.

We've got details on how to deal with phone bullying here - http://www.2degreesmobile.co.nz/bullying and need 4 examples of unanswered calls or texts to investigate.

Please PM me if you want me to look into it for you.

Do not reply to any of the SMS as this will not go in your favour

Thanks. That's right. If you're reporting nuisance or 'bullying' texts or calls we can't investigate them if they're replied to, as it'll be an 'argument'.

If they are threatening, call the police immediately.

If you have an Android device you can blacklist numbers that text by using an app called Go SMS Pro.
There is also an app called Call Blocker
