menabassily: Thanks Hamish, that was sometime ago, it's working fine now. At the time I tried 3 different browser and 3 different computers I am a web developer so I have access to many physical and virtual machines :)

I have had problems with their website before, it is pretty crap. I think it has compatibility issues with different browsers (eg opera), so you may want to try IE8 for firefox, which all websites should work with.

I believe there was an actual problem with the website, because I have tried many different browsers/machines. The website has some UX issues too.

Here is an example, website UI settings can be viewed from page source:

I think the website is doing ok but it can be and do much much better.

When you have your monthly plan data and your free weekend data, and then you find out that in order to use your free weekend data you need to finish your monthly data balance first....

Don't you agree ??

Really? no wonder my 1gb w/end allowance wasn't being used but my monthly allowance was.
Thieves much.

Incorrect. BB zone data - as this is - is used before plan data provided you are in a BB zone. If you also have your own BB pack then the allowance soonest to expire will be used first. Normally that will be the weekend one.

:D I'm kinda glad they're not that dumb, I have tested it and I'm very happy that they didn't adopt this business practical joke on me. My weekend data is decreasing but my monthly is still the same WOoohoooo

Hi, can you PM your number and the time you called (and the number you called from if different). I'd like to look into how this was handled by the Care team.

* Ignore that, I can see you've PM'd me, thanks!

Cheers

Just to add my 2c worth. I rang  last week and asked if I could just buy a 2 Degrees Snapper SIM for my S3 and was told by the girl I was talking to that "that model isn't a Snapper phone". After convincing her it was, she said she wasn't sure and had to put me though to a store. Seems like a bit of staff updating is required here.

+1
Same thing happened to me when I called to confirm some information before actually getting the phone and signing the contract. When I found out she didn't know anything about it, she told me that the "LG" phone is the only Touch2Pay phone they offer, so I didn't argue much and I just thought to myself "The poor girl, probably didn't get the memo" but she was very nice so I just thanked her and went to the store.

The store guy knew the answers to all my questions (as any good salesman) he did play some evil salesmen (just kidding) tricks that I know well as I was a salesman myself once (ex. I'm not sure if the stock will last etc... etc.. ) :D but I finally was convinced and gave up my personal policy of "No contracts, no commitment" and signed up for a 24 month contract... sigh

2DegreesCare might actually be able to have access to the "likely to be recorded" phone call.

To be honest, I didn't care much if the girl on the phones knows about it or not when I called to ask about the offer, heck I ignored it and even went and got myself the deal anyway, but I was majorly disappointed when I called for support and another girl (or maybe the same one) didn't know anything about what I am talking about, even more disappointed to know that even the supervisor didn't know.

A friend of mine told me, you're paying cheap, so quit complaining (the JetStar way), which is a valid point, but still, for a company offering and supporting products/services that even their own support team doesn't know much about, this is a big issue. Don't you agree??

See, this is what irks me about this network, there is so much damn confusion. When i was on Vodafone everything was straightforward and simple.
The other weekend i was happily using my 1gb w/end allowance before my 300mb monthly allowance.
This weekend just been, it was using my 300mb allowance and not my 1gb w/end allowance?

Couldn't agree more. I tell everyone I know "Go 2 Degrees, they're Kiwi owned\cheap\awesome etc" and alot of them have so it's annoying when these little things happen.

I don't know why; the website is clear, customer services understand the way data works, and I explained it to you as well. The free weekend data is broadband data; if you're in a broadband zone, it gets used before your plan data. Simple. :-)

Hi

We're aware of an issue that affected a small number of customers (OP included) that were not credited the 1GB bonus data for the weekend.

We've fixed the issue and identified those customers affected and will be crediting them any pack, inclusive or charged data back onto their account in the next few days.

We are also re-advising the Care team of this issue and details of the promo.

Please PM me if you believe you are one of those customers affected.

Just to confirm, this Touch2Pay 1GB bonus data (not to be confused with the 1GB data for $39 & above plans) is for weekends only and will be used before your included plan data.

Only if you have data pack that expires BEFORE the end of the Touch2Pay bonus data will that data be used first, i.e. expires Saturday.

Cheers

I agree, while I was sarcastic about the data being used differently, I have to give 2degrees credit for this one, the data works fine as expected.

Word!! Dude, that's exactly what we want (as loyal 2degrees customers) our service to be like. Thanks mate for making this clear, thanks for the effort, and finally sorry for being a bit of a pain but it's for a good cause :)

Cheers,
