A family member lost their 2degrees USB stick and was in a bit of a bind. I nipped around to local Warehouse and managed to get a blank SIM but despite searching for 45 minutes they couldnt track down  a 3.6 or 7.2 mbps 2degrees USB sticks...

After quick search that suggested Vodfaone generally is unlocked - I grabbed a Vodafone K3772 (no other designation - no H on the end and no -Z on the end, just Huawei K3772), and proceeded to spend the next 3 hours trying various setting to connect via the Vodafone dashboard (manual settings), all to no avail.

It can see NZ Comms (aka 2 degrees) 3G OK, but that is as far as I can get.

Tried changing the APN to internet (and every combination of no username/pass, and the various 2degrees, internet for each), no success. Rang 2D and they confirmed I just need internet as the APN.

Tried setting up a dialup connection with *99#, also with no success. Just get 777 error.

All using XP32.

Any tips? Is this a locked stick? I can't find much info on it. I have searched the 3G modem wiki but no reference to this specific USB stick.

Any help will be most appreciated

Hi

I've used 2d sim in a K3765 with out any probs as a DUN connection as VMC software would not work with 2d.

Here's the name of the software 2d gave me and what I used-> mdma.exe (is only 100kb) at this web page->
http://www.nerve.org.za/mdma/
Its pretty basic and just uses a DUN conneciton, but does keep stat's and can send USSD codes.

If still no luck at setting up a DUN connection, try uninstalling Vodafone (VMC) software and put stick back in and it should reinstall drivers for it, then make a new DUN again.

Good luck
