Just remember: there isn't a data plan on 2Degrees, which means casual data rates of $0.50/MB until a plan is in place.

So the speedtest quite feasibly has just cost a couple of bucks?

Its a 3.0 update isnt it?

How does your result on EDGE compare with GPRS on vodafone? If there is a significant speed increase it would really be a boon for us poor 2G iPhone users!

Ill still wait for the data plans for 2degrees!!

Ah. Right. Could very well be! My girlfriend has my old 3G now that I've upgraded so I can check tonight but it would seem that yourself and thegurio have already confirmed this :)

Can't wait for them to finish rolling out their network nationwide. EDGE would be good in some of the smaller places that can't get 3G.

Can someone who has an iPhone on Vodafone turn off 3G and do a comparison test on their network?

2100mhz 3G starts at Orewa and ends in Drury/Pukekohe

Heading West Waitakere Rangers Vodafone is about to turn on a 3G 2100/900mhz site in Waima

A bit OT I think. The issue is that in order to drop down to VF GPRS from 2degrees EDGE, you have to leave 2degrees coverage and roam onto VF. Nothing to do with where VF 3G coverage is or is not...
