Will 2D be pushing banks etc. to allow 022 numbers, or is it up to customers to push them?

Approximately how many customers does 2D have after 1 week of being in business?

Hi,

Quick question: How can I listen to my voicemail from another phone? If I press * or # I get straight to the part where I can leave a message.

Have they limited the numbers available for changing your number to on the website? Are they only up to 0220......? And will the others be released eventually or held/reserved for some reason? I want an 0222...... number and don't want to miss my chance to get it.

Just to answer some of your lates questions:

1) More numbers in the 022 range will be opened up shortly. We'll let you know when that will happen.
2) Phone/ Text banking. We have arrangements with most banks. Just waiting on ANZ and ASB to finish things at their end to get it working for our customers.

Cheers!

Another question: Is there a mail2sms service?

Thanks.

To access your voicemail from another phone call 022 202 2002 and follow the instructions. You will need to have set up a PIN on your voicemail service first as you will be prompted to do this (for security reasons).
We do not have a mail2sms service.

Cheers!

Call 022 202 2001 from a 2degrees mobile, or 022 202 2002 from anywhere else.

When you are in the process of porting an existing number to 2D, should you leave your old sim in the phone or the 2D sim in the phone (i.e. which sim will 2D try and contact you on to say that the port is done?)

Thanks for that. I see that in the text message that tells me I have a new voicemail I also get the number of the person who left the message which is very nice, I don't have to call the voicemail to see who left the message.

Keep up the good work!

nice, hope they would offer 3G soon, so i can move my iPhone 3G to them especially if data plan/rate would be more reasonable.

We already do, as long as you have Voicemail still enabled. If you have setup voicemail (it won't work until you do) you will receive missed call alert texts for callers who don't leave a message, in addition to message alerts for those who do.

You won't get them if you choose to have voicemail totally removed, as this service is provided by the voicemail platform. You can however setup your voicemail service such that callers will hear your personal greeting, but are not allowed to leave a message.

Niel: I refuse to pay for retrieving voice mail. I believe on VF if you do not setup voice mail then the caller also does not get charged for (not) leaving a message since the call is not diverted to voice mail (not 100% sure though).

How does it work on 2D, does the caller pay for the call if you do not have voice mail setup? What is the default message the caller hears if you do not have voice mail setup?

It says 'you've got through to voicemail for (reads phone number) etc.  It does charge the caller.

When will 2degrees have 3g?

A friend of mine asked for his voicemail to be disconnected when he activated his 022 SIM. He was told by customer services that this request had been actioned. As of last Saturday when anybody calls him they pay when his phone is switched off even though he doesn't want callers to pay.

A call to 2 degrees help desk last Saturday confirmed that they have a software glitch and voicemail cannot be switched off. Hope this fault is fixed soon as callers are paying for a voicemail connection he doesn't want.

As quoted from the 2 degrees facebook site concerning voicemail.

- unable to turn of the voicemail (with vodafone you can do it straight away.....but I suppose they don't wan't to turn the voicemail off because they want to charge people under any circumstances.

Looks like 2D have sorted this out now...
I asked a week ago to have voicemail disabled & it was done within 2 days (They advised could take up to 5 days)...
