After recommending the same cabling company for the last 15 years, we have determined that since their continual mergers etc, they are no longer ideal to recommend to our clients.

I am after a recommendation for a company who does high quality work, is neat and tidy, and reasonably priced. That doesn't mean cheap, it just means value for money. It would be ideal if they also did electrical work and knew how to install an ADSL Splitter. Pride in their work is essential, as is ethical and professional conduct. It wouldn't hurt if they had offices in other cities like Wellington or Christchurch to as we have customers in those regions.

Jobs might range from repair 1 jackpoint, or install 1 new jackpoint, to fitout of a floor for Cat5E or Cat6, with 300 Data and Power, back to a patch panel with Labeling.

We do sometimes get involved with some network cabling guys.  Not with contracting them to do work, but working along side them in server rooms etc.

And boy have I seen some shocking jobs with real cowboys.

I would recommend CableNet, they have always done good work, but typically only see them on larger jobs.

I can recommend Comserve. They did the full fitout of our floor a couple of years back, including server room patch panels etc, workstation drop poles with both data and electrical, cabling for hanging tv on wall in boardroom, TV aerials etc.

Yea cablenet are decent but more for the bigger jobs i think. They are subcontracting for the UFB rollout to do the onsite installs for Chorus too.

JazzTech. Not sure of their pricing, but their work has always been top notch.
