Out again

02-06-2012 18.91 GB
03-06-2012 0 B
04-06-2012 0 B
05-06-2012 0 B

As you can see, I have been trying to use my new cap, but with many days this month of 0 or not fully recorded data use, I have approximately 65GB to use on the last day of this months billing cycle.

I have just moved to SNAP from another ISP and the transition went smoothly but lack of being able to check how much data I have used is pretty nasty.  They really need to fix the meter.

you can still check your data but at the moment it doesn't record everything you use, so it is hard to go over your limit and it dosent add it days later so it is better you check it once a day or so to check it is working

Hey guys, we are aware of the usage meter issues, this has been escalated to development for them to look into, hopefully will be resolved soon!

Cheers

Ralph!

With the greatly increased data caps, in all honesty how many of us now need to be concerned about data usage? In spite of my efforts(!), we're just over two thirds of our monthly allowance with only two days to go. We might as well assume we've got uncapped data.

Of the 49GB I downloaded yesterday, 21GB was monitored.
After some rather heavy downloading in order to 'use all my cap' I managed to get to 110GB for the month. However with the so many unmetered days and not fully metered days, I estimate that I managed somewhere around 200GB for the month.

Lets see what these new billing cycle brings -- though I wish to download the Internet then I need another hard drive :-)

02-06-2012 - 2.44 GB
03-06-2012 - 0 B
04-06-2012 - 0 B
05-06-2012 - 241.87 MB
06-06-2012 - 119.92 MB
07-06-2012 - 31.17 MB

lol... I'm not complaining, but I have used over 30GB in this period ...

I still don't understand why people are complaining about this.
It's like going to the fuel station paying enough for 20L then finding the pump is calibrated wrong and getting 30L then complaining you got too much fuel without paying for it :/

The reason why.. I am an honest person, as such I don't want to take something unfairly,

Snaps metering issue will most likely cause a lot of people to download more then they really need because they can, thus potentially slowing down the service for all of us

Once they sort the metering out, I'm sure it'll be better all round.

The pipe out of NZ is only so big..

not quite , this is like going to a fuel station and the people who paid for 20l getting 50l and the people who paid for 100l still getting a 100l, but taking a long time to get it.

Exactly.

Unfair on the people that are shelling out more money for bigger amounts of data, hell we should all go for the most minimal package if its for free..
Obviously in the end if that was the case everyone would lose speed as snap would losd money etc etc

What I was initially worried about and was what happened on a previous ISP was that the meter kept not updating but then suddenly did and with all the extra data that had been used - so people that relied on the meter thought they were ok and then suddenly found themselves with massive data fees.

Surely its just the graph on the website thats not working?

I dont think its got anything to do with the billing system, and users will be billed correctly as per their data usage. Or am I missing something?

who knows anymore, when i go to My Snap to check how much data i have used , under Data services it says 40 GB but if i click on my plan and then the data in orange to get a daily breakdown it tells me i have used 54 GB so i have no idea which is correct but having a data cap of a 150 GB and 12 days to use it  im not to worried, but they seem to be having a real problem in the last few months getting it to work properly .
