Are you talking about mobile or DSL?

I'd really like to switch my mobile devices to Snap, but at current rates it would end up costing me double what I'm paying 2degrees.

Stay tuned. I have the press release here, but they asked to hold until 9:30am. The prices are better than those posted above.

looks like nbr decided not to honour the embargo

http://www.nbr.co.nz/article/snap-introduces-terabyte-data-add-on-ck-131806

"There’s been another positive broadband development this morning, with Snap launching a one terabyte (1024 gigabyte) data add on.

The jumbo dollop of data – enough to satisfy the hungriest, most video and game-crazy data pig – is available across a range of DSL and UFB fibre plans (see table below).

And there are no usage conditions or throttling if you try to take full advantage of the plan.

"The new plans won’t be rate-shaped or artificially managed in any way to slow them down," pledges Snap CEO Mark Petrie in a not-so-sutble dig at Orcon's recently launched unlimited data plan (which includes possible throttling at peak times).

We’ve a number of promising moves on the data cap front lately, including Vodafone’s 1 terabyte daytime business plan, and Slingshot’s roll-over data."

I just logged into my Snap account - I was on the 145gb addon, now it is showing as a 250gb addon!

Pretty decent (except now I've got the 8 days until my account rolls over to use 175gb of data...!)

Here we go:

SNAP Launches One Terabyte Ultra-Fast Broadband Plans And Unmetered Nights!

New Zealand’s top-rated Internet provider Snap today announced plans that let customers truly use their broadband as intended.

Increased base data allowances and add-on packs up to 1 terabyte mean there will be plenty of room to use Snap’s new ultra-fast connections without having to keep one eye on the usage meter.
Better yet, if you purchase an additional data pack then data usage nights between 1am and 7am is unmetered, and doesn’t count towards the monthly allowance.

Snap chief executive Mark Petrie says: “The point of having a fast connection is so you can use the speed. Otherwise, why have a fast broadband connection?”

Petrie adds that the new plans won’t be rate-shaped or artificially managed in any way to slow them down. “That’s not the Snap way,” Petrie says. “We sell fast broadband and that’s what our customers get,” he says.

For VDSL & UFB services Snap has another exciting offer: connect before Dec 31st on a 24 month plan and get the first two months base plan rental free.

Customers in the UFB fibre catchment area can look forward to free installations, thanks to Chorus recent announcement that it will cover up to 200 metres distance without additional cost. In Enable areas, residential installations are free irrespective of distance.

The new plans are available for ADSL2+, VDSL2 and UFB residential customers. They include increased data as part of the standard service (from 25GB to 100GB) and come with Add-On Data Packs, including 100GB, 250GB, 500GB and a whopping 1TB in size so people can tailor their connection costs to their usage.

....is actually a pretty big deal.
It means you can purchase just the 100GB add-on, so only pay $90, and your 100GB only gets used up during the day. You can do all your torrenting, backups etc overnight (a good time to do them anyway) and go hard but you still have plenty of data for Netflix, Quickflix, etc at peak time

Seems a bit overkill to have unmetered nights AND the 1TB add-on though. How many people are going to use 1TB exclusively during the day?), but still, the more the merrier.

Snap you beauties, love it!! :)

Wow, just logged in and as well as my addon increasing to 100GB (+base amout + teched addon means I have loads of data) but also noticed at the top that 1am-7am data is unmetered. Wicked!!!
