Hey guys, right now i'm on telstraclears Lightspeed 100GB plan which is capped at 15mbps down and 2mbps up.

This is the speed i get right now (on the worldxchange server)

What type off speed increase should i expect to get on the Snap VDSL with Snap Plus plan (50mbps down, 10mbps up) with 150GB data a month, and all you can eat youtube. And last of all what websites/servers (e.g. steam) are unmetered?

I live in South Auckland Pukekohe, so if you live in Pukekohe too and are on this plan could you post your speedtest.net results so i can see the type of speeds you're getting.

Worse case scenario if VDSL is available where you are you would have to pay a wiring charge of $400.

But once you do that, based on my (limited) experience if you are in fact that close to the exchange (the length of the cable) you could expect to see 3x increase in the download speed, 10x increase in the upload speed and your ping would reduce a lot.

Youtube performance often seems to depend on the clip you watch and the popularity of that clip. Sometimes I can stream 1080p without buffering, but occasionally there are issues with a 480p video.

Snap have an unmetered steam server, but you can't tell steam to only connect to that server so it may connect to another server that is metered. See http://www.snap.net.nz/support/content/3/63/en/what-is-the-steam-content-server.html
