Snap has been a Dunedin (whoops! Make that Christchurch) based ISP for years now.

It looks very nice - 7am-7pm 128k, 7pm-7am FS for only $39.95

Snap came to be as a result of the merger between NetAccess and iNet several years ago. Despite keeping a low profile, they seem to be pretty stable.

I am also very interested in their unlimited plan, and willing to switch over if not too many negative feedbacks.

The only unlimited plans that are acceptable in terms of cost are just two as far as I can see from www.nzconnections.net:

1. Snap.net.nz - night owl daytime 128k both way / night time Full/128k up and down
$39.95 with phone service with them
$49.95 without phone service

2. Web World - surf flat rate 256k/128k anytime
$69.95

I used to be with Web World in tht old days when we only had dial-up. I have to say their service was quite good (not sure now), quality of Internet connection was also good on dial-up. I am still using their email service and can't complaint.

However, I still prefer Snap.net.nz for the speed and cost reasons. Whoever has experience with them please share it! it will be greatly appreciated!  It doesn't need to be that plan, any experience with Snap.net.nz will do.

Cheers!

yeh i remember netaccess and the quake servers they hosted from back in 98/99, and the crowd that used to work there, was good gaming times. I was never a customer but knew a few and they had no complaints, although that was back in dialup days haha, everyone was slow so why complain hehe

I can remember joining NetAccess in 1996 when the entire operation was run from a room full of Macs in the spare room of Ron Service's house in Sockburn. How things have changed.
