It's No use having a FFTH plan when the backhaul is not able to sustain the growth or be competitive enough to allow low prices.

In AU there are several competitive submarine cables and the AU to Guam part of PPC is still going ahead and may or may not results in a price drop from SXC.

If I recall correctly SXC prices there transit in NZ at the same rates as in AU so if the AU PPC cables does cause a price reduction we will still benefit even not building the NZ >> AU PPC leg.
