Unconfirmed, but 2degrees will more than likely launch it themselves before Christmas

Courierpost appears to have "misplaced" my phone.  Bought it using youshop, and It cleared customs last thursday. nz post says they handed it over to courierpost on thursday, but courierpost has no record of it on their system.  Ugh.  nz post are making an "enquiry" with courierpost and have opened a "case".  Anyone have any experience of this kind of thing, and the likelihood of it showing up?

I had a similar situation when I bought a PS3 on launch from Japan 5-6 years ago.  The PS3 was tracked as being in the courierpost van on delivery to my house.  It never arrived and the courier claimed he never saw it even though the track and trace showed he had it in his van.  I ended up getting the sender to put an insurance claim in and after several months I eventually got a refund from the sender.

I hope your situation works out better.   Good luck.

Hmm.  I paid extra for insurance with the postage from youshop, so I don't have any concerns about compensation.  Just so annoying after all the effort I've gone to to get it, that it falls over at the last hurdle!

Just managed to get myself a new unused bumper for AUD$30

Was searching to see if you could get them anywhere other than the play store and one popped up on the gumtree.com.au in Melbourne. Only just listed and It was pickup only, but I brokered a deal with my brother in-law who is picking it up for me and bringing with him when he comes over for Christmas.

Pretty happy considering they are fetching up to ?60 or US$100 on eBay, although I still have 5-6 weeks before the phone gets dispatched!!

Hi All,

I've tried the US VPN order trick with the Google Play store and have not been able to complete the purchase.

I've set my YouPost address, altered my Mastercard address in ASB accounts to match the YouPost address but no luck, fails at processing payment.

Also tried my ASB Visa Debit card (as some suggested this was address independent)  and again payment failed.

Any one got any further suggestions? Would really like to try and get one ordered and delivered this side of Christmas.

What is the opinion on the $799 NZ price tag, is the phone worth that much? I can see value in $350US but not so sure about the NZ conversion...

Thanks,
M

Hi M
It appears some have trouble and some don't. What I had to do was to register a new gmail account with a new wallet for that account. Use Billing address of your mail forwarding address in USA and add your cc that has the same mail forwarding address. Hassle I know, but it worked for me. Good luck

Tried again as you suggested, new Wallet account on another Gmail account, no luck - did go further asking me to confirm billing address, which I re-entered as US YouPost address but it failed to complete...

Destined to either buy it in NZ now, or jump to HTC 8X or Lumia 920

Just got a fright..My phone dropped out of the back pocket of jeans onto vinyl floor, no more than 6 inches (on the loo) and screen was flickering with lines down it!!!!

Frigg!

Adjusted the screen brightness up and down a few times and click auto brightness and over a period of about 5 mins the screen returned to normal.

Weird...any ideas from you techy's out there? Do screen do that and recover over time etc?

One that note...what do we do when the phone sucks a kumera?
