dafman: That's a pretty steep price, considering the S3 can be bought for $799 at the moment. At USD $349, I would have expected it to land here at around $499 - not $699. Early pricing - I'd expect it to drop once it's scarcity factor is overcome.

Ahh, but that's without any markup!

Fair point, but will it be available here via the Play Store at some point in the near future?

Nope, we're far too small for google to both worrying about. (Since they'd have to handle GST, warranty returns, complying with the various NZ consumer law, etc.

xyf: The Nexus 4 combines the most powerful hardware with the very latest Android software – and it will get any new Android updates first. The first handset with the new Quad-core Qualcomm processor along with wireless charging and Android 4.2 make this the pinnacle of the Android experience.

I called up my local store who said they don't have in stock and nobody does, its online only.
Not sure if its true though as I'm in Whakatane so we probably wouldn't be the first store on the list to get the actual phone.

I find it hard to believe that they had much in stock in the first place. Anyone actually able to get one from Warehouse?

Same. I wonder how many they had...and how! Lol. I ordered one since the one I ordered from the play store is 5-6 weeks away.

I managed to get one from the Warehouse online. I was actually in the Monday morning meeting at 10 am, by 10:06 am half had sold, so I made up some excuse and ran back to my desk to order one.

Looking forward to having one of these in my hands this week, quite happy to pay the premium for the NZ warranty etc.

They seem to be adding more stock once it runs (I've seen "Sold Out" twice now and then the stock bar magically refills) so at the moment it's not too late yet.

Would this be getting into the Yakju vs Takju situation that the Galaxy Nexus has?
