Hi everybody, would anybody be able to give me some advice? Any help would be very much appreciated!
ok so I am looking to buy a new smartphone my budget is 300 dollars max
I want to be able to do the following things

Watch TV series (IMDB?)
Play Facebook games like songpop and candy crush
Decent camera
watsapp
Skype (optional)
play n download movies and music
And ofcourse all the basics
Skinny network

I think the main thing I'm missing on my current phone is the ability to use a flash player
I am thinking to buy a Samsung galaxy ace plus but can't figure out if it will meet my requirements...
Maybe I'm dreaming but hope you guys can help me out!
thanks!!

If you are not particularly stuck on Android then have a look at Nokia Lumia 710. $249 from bond n bond and will work on Skinny network. Easy to use OS, facebook and twitter integrated. IMDB and Skype app available. Free offline GPS navigation for 100+ countries with voice guidance and a good 5MP camera.

farcus: Flash is no longer available on the android platform

You can though still download it from teh adobe website and install it manually. ALthough don't know if newer android OS updates such as jellybean will allow it to work. Works fine though on ICS. I think you need quite a powerful phone top run it well though. It works fine on the samsung S3 using the stock web browser and ICS. ALthough can crash from time to time.

If you want flash, then something like the samsung s3 is a good option, and you can pick them up for under $700. But maybe outside your budget.

I have a friend with the ace and whilst a good phone its memory is bad and unless you root it you may run out if you install too many apps.

Recommending phones is pretty had as we all have our preferences but what fits one person won't another. A lot of material on what each platform gives so do some research (I seem to recall there is some good stuff on here)
Iphone is out on your budget but it is a solid platform with good updates but lacks external storage and ability to replace the battery easily.
Android is fine if you like to change the looks and feel around, as long as you are prepared to root your phone, if not you may get frustrated with updates. Depending on what you buy you can buy a second battery and up your storage with SD card.

Windows phones are pretty good but like the Iphone has minimal ability to be customised.

Best to do some research and have a play around at one of the shops and see what fits you and your budget.

if I were you I would seriously research windows phone and see if it does cover your requirements. After a couple of years of android I am a windows phone 8 convert, no more chasing fixes and updates, no inconsistent user experiences, the list goes on. I'm not bagging android nor am I suggesting wp8 is flawless, what I have found is it is an awesome OS that is fluid, consistent and beautifully integrated

I don't know if what you think of winpho is correct. I think:

Major update is still carrier dependant? Our Lumia has telecom logo at start.

Some app only available for Nokia Lumia but not on other windows phone platform (eg: viber). To claim that experience is consistent across windows phone is not true.

Windows phone is still 'new kid on the block'. I highly recommend new user to check their apps availability prior to convert.

I have Viber installed on my HTC Titan running Windows Phone 7.5. It's available from the official Windows Phone store for free. Also have Whatsapp installed. All there in the Windows Phone store.

Cheap Windows Phone will be a far better phone than a cheap Android phone IMO
