It's me again with another How to. Again, this is intended to be used within the legal limitations of New Zealand and you should use this method at your own risk. However, this has a negligible effect on your phone and should NOT brick your phone.
So you are using 2degrees's Galaxy S3 aye? and you want to update your ROM to the latest official or a custom ROM but you don't want to lose you snapper sim support.
Or you want to upgrade to the latest "I9300XXELLA" to avoid the famous Galaxy S III sudden death problem and fix that major security issue in Android 4.1.1 without losing your snapper support
Take a look at this for more information about this: New Update: Fix Galaxy S3 Sudden Death and Exynos security exploit
There are two ways to do this:
- The Easy way:This will work only if you already have the API installed. Flash your ROM upgrade WITHOUT a factory wipe :) - tested with Official Polish 4.1.2, let Android do the "Upgrading android" after reboot and you're done.
Like a boss. - The Fancy way:
- You need a rooted phone.
- You will need Root Explorer Download it from here
- Open Root Explorer
- Copy the Touch2Pay API files, which can be downloaded from here: 2Degrees Touch2Pay Sim Alliance API
- Navigate to: /system/app/
- Mount as R/W
- Paste the APK file
- Restart you phone
Enjoy Snapper with your Custom or Official New ROM.
Don't forget to re root your device again using the latest CF-auto-Root if you need to.
Note that, if your Snapper application widget doesn't work or shows (not found), that's not because it's not working, but because the application has a defect that needs to be taken care of by Snapper. For more information:

Admin, please move to the 2degrees forum if you believe this is where this belongs to. Thanks
