Could you be more specific? There's a massive range of models all under the "Xperia" branding. Or are you after anyone that has a phone with Xperia written on it?

I've got an Arc S and it's absolutely pants

Loses signal all the time, full of bloatware, poor ergonomics, utterly unsupported now by Sony

I hate it

Xperia Arc S here which the wife loved until she went waterskiing with it tucked into the wetsuit. Now is rusty and sitting on our kitchen bench about to get the biffo.

Kids both have Xperia Plays which they love. Very space limited though. I have been kindly offering to root them and install ICS so I can free up some room but they don't want to lose their saved Dragonvale or minecraft games. I haven't convinced them I can back them up. I don't think they trust me! :-)

Same boat. Used to be a huge sony fan. From the days of the good old Walkman 810i and the C902. Went over to the nexus for the past 12 months. Looking for a new toy now and Sony Xperia Z is definitely top 3.

Well then, I have an Xperia Ray. Good specs for the low price - haven't had an issue with it at all. Only downside I have is limited on board disk space.

But when you upgrade from a Huawei Ideos U8150, just about any phone is great!

Yes the Z looks fantastic.
Im currently running ICS on the S, havent loaded a custom ROM yet and prolly wont until Im well away from warranty and by then the Z will be here !

Quite a good solid phone so far, battery isnt so good but I recently did a software update and it seems to have helped battery stats. My issue is some of the games I have are very 'hungry' so thats part of the problem and I shouldnt be playing these nonsense games.

Anyone tried the panorama functions on the camera?

Im also trying to figure out where to store my music, as my pioneer car headunit doesnt seem to recognise the phone by usb. Potentally I might have to move the music from SD to phone memory?
No removalble storage sucks, but I have a decent amount of music on it and i havent run out yet and dont think I will (I dont take many photos on it and if I do, I copy them to PC).

Similar issues with my Xperia Pro - filled up onboard memory incredibly quickly, and that's with as many apps transferred to the sd card. While there's not a huge amount of space to begin with, there's so much bloatware on it (eg, why should Facebook be compulsory?).

I'm just waiting to be out of guarantee before I at least root it to be able to get rid of this extra rubbish.

I haven't bothered upgrading to 4.0, as I've read of too many issues with the upgrade (plus an inability to downgrade).

That said, I generally like the phone, especially having a phyiscal keyboard (this is a feature basically no longer available on any current phone).

I have friends that have the U and the P and it somtimes makes me feel as if I shouldnt have got the higher spec and larger S !

I upgraded the S to ICS when it was released last year and have had no issues.
At the moment, im having issues with google+ and the playstore app on occasions.

You can remove facebook or simply block it from sync.

All in all, Im careful with the 3rd party apps... because if you dont read the small print you dont deserve a smartphone (a lot of apps have hidden permissions and bits n pieces that run in the backround).

Perhaps you can remove it on your phone, but this isn't the case on the Pro - as well as Facebook amongst the other apps I can't remove include Moxia Pro, Wisepilot and Timescape.

Ok trust you on that for your model.

I know on the Apps menu of the S, I have options of uninstalling, havent tried it so Im not sure if it will let me or not.

Yes an unrooted Play can get rather frustrating. However I didn't install any firmware I just wanted root permission so I could use link2sd at freewill. Maybe you could convince them to do this at least to free up valuable space.
