Hi! I got my G1 today. Unlocked and activated and all ok. MMS is the one thing not working. Anybody lucky enough to make this work? Thanks!

Sorry, can't help whatsoever - just wondering how you're finding the G1?

Thanks guys, I have tried all the settings from Vodafone NZ support with no luck. But I'm gonna go through all the settings again, and hopefully I can make it work. I might have missed some steps.

It is quite bulky, as I'm an iPhone user. Touchscreen response is quite fast! I'm impressed actually, and the keypad is easy to use. Overall I'm happy but not quite as the MMS is still a problem.

IMHO it's an ugly phone, hence waiting for the touch 3G, take the leading 0 out and see how you get on.

What did it cost you all up to get it into your hands?

KiwiBoi, very keen to know how much your G1 cost you and from where. I am keen as I have pretty much moved all my email, calendar and everyday operations over to gmail, so to easily extend that to my phone and I would be wrapped.

It was a gift from a relative in the states. He purchased it outright. And I paid for the unlock code for 20 something dollars. I'm still trying to fix the MMS function. Sorry for the late reply guys.

Thanks, looking around the best I can find is around US$400 unlocked, would have sounded better a couple of months ago before the $ dive.
