As I have already stated in the MWC megathread the X may be the replacement for my DHD. My only reservations so far are the overall size with such a big screen, although aspect ratio may assist in the way it sits in your hand. And how the polycarbonate body will look and feel compared to past HTC handsets. 32GB (26 usable) will probably suffice as I currently get by with a 16GB mSD in the DHD although 64GB would have provided plenty of headroom. I've never bought a second battery for my phones (just have a rechargeable mUSB battery pack) so the hard wired battery is not a problem.
Already advertised at Clove for GBP410 it would seem to be the same price as each new high end handset that HTC released in recent years. With the current exchange rate it would appear to be available GST paid here for about $NZ1000.

The S would be a replacement for the Sensation range its introductory price about the same as the street price of the 6 month old Sensation XE with very similar specs.

Pity they aren't 'World Phones' like the Samsung GS2 and the iP able to be used on any network here.

I like the One X. Mostly. The battery does worry me, several times with my Desire a spare battery has been a life saver when travelling.

I do like the X but that screen maybe to much, I have a DHD at the mo and even it is a bit large at times for one handed use

finally a decent replacement for my DHD. Was seriously considering a Note because HTC hadn't released anything that was a good upgrade.

Just checked out a sensation XL with 4.7 screen and its actually a good size for me. Small hands need not apply though

I'm seriously tempted to order a One X. With the money I'd get back from selling the Sensation, would probably only be another $450ish on top to get the OneX.

First place I've seen to advertise a pre-order locally is from expansys for about the $840 mark.

A number of retailers have them (Mobicity etc).

Locked bootloader killed it for me, plus I won't order anything else until GS3 is confirmed.

Good point, I've sent Expansys an email asking that question.

I know my current Sensation has got the correct frequencies for Vodafone's network as opposed to XT's, so I'm hoping these are the same.

I'm not worried about it working here, it will. I'm worried about the original carrier the phone is made for. So I can find out if it will have lots of annoying carrier specific crap on it.
