Hello, I've been trying to find a way to change the default password of my Wifi because I know there's softwares out there that are able to give out the password for those type of modems and right now I see a few devices connected to the Wifi that I don't recognize.

The problem is that, I'm able to access the modem interface and it says I'm logged in as Administrator, but in none of the options it gives me the option to configure or change anything. It just gives me an overview. I don't know why it doesn't give me options to change anything since I'm logged in as an Administrator

This is where I'm supposed to have an option to configure I think...I'm not sure if I'm in the wrong place or I'm doing something wrong but I've checked all the tools there and none gives me the option to change the Wifi password.

So, can someone help me here?
Thanks.

Did you follow these steps?

Maybe you didn't click "configure" at the appropriate time, since it appears to be just displaying the current settings?

Sound to me like you wanting to change the admin password to your router as well as the WPA Key for Wifi devices that connect to your Wifi?

The screen you posted is around the Wireless Access settings. You want to change it to WPA2 and setup a Pre-Shared Key /PSK String. These settings have nothing to do with the router admin password. But changing this will force all connected devices to use a new key.

Check under toolbox, there must be something in there to change the admin password?

It's not the admin password that I want to change. It's the key used to connect to the Wifi.

@ubergeeknz I did follow those instructions although the access address shown there is not the same as mine. But it still doesn't give me any options to change the Wifi settings.

Hi rinnsai, I'm not home at the moment so I'm not 100% sure how to do it - but you can easily :)
Click on Wireless or Internet settings. Then when you go configure this connection, at the top right you will have another option - click than and it will allow you to change the name, password, security type etc.

On mine, same model, when I connect to router admin page, and click on "Home Network Wireless" page, there are three options available at top right of page - Overview, Details, Configure.
I have to click on the Configure link to be able to change settings.
Doesn't look the same as your screenshot tho!

Cheers,
Joseph

Aah, perhaps you're not logged in as an administrator?

It says I am logged in as Administrator, but it really doesn't give me any Configure options.

Perhaps you can configure only when connected via Ethernet, not wireless?

It's all detailed here..

http://telecom.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/20146

Just be sure to use Administrator with a capital 'A' as the default username and then leave password blank, this is the default log on.

See joesephs screenshot above - it has the configure menu in the top right of the screen.
When you click the menu on the left it just shows summaries until you click configure in the top right.
