With an announcement for the Nexus 5 expected any day now, who is getting one, and what do you hope to see in the released specs?

Currently on an S3, I will be very happy if the current predicted specs on GSM Arena turn out to be correct. Slighly smaller device but much better screen size and pixels.

For me, I don't like the bloatware that ends up on non-Nexus devices, especially ones sold via carrier channels that mean updates are often very late, if ever.

Very much looking forward to ordering one of these soon

Having an HTC One I probably wont get another phone unless it has front facing speakers. Maybe next year with the Nexus 6.

If the battery ratio is conserved from the LG G2 it is based on, we might see anywhere from 50% more to almost double battery life in some scenarios compared to the N4. This is what i'm most interested in. Oh and a 32gb model is going to be very handy. Performance is going to be top notch too.

Curiously, a LTE Nexus 4 is expected to make a return, at a cheaper price, and the Nexus 5 at a slightly higher price.
The LTE Nexus 4 recently went through the bluetooth SIG. I imagine its going to have the slightly updated Snapdragon S4 Pro thats in the LTE Nexus 7 2013, which is essentially a downclocked Snapdragon 600.

Will be interesting to see what pans out. I might pick one up in Australia if it appeals.

Temped but will depend upon.
1. Being able to access the Play Store
2. Google having enough stock for the first week.
3. Google excepting my ASB Visa CC..

Only bought my Nexus 4 a couple of months ago from the google play store.

Still very happy with it and don't see the point of upgrading yet.

A couple of months ago when I was going through my "should I switch to android" delirium I had considered the Nexus to be the only real solution I would like. I'm curious to see how the 5 stacks up against competitors but I'm sure it'll be nice piece of kit. However it's still not time for me to switch, so maybe I'll check the waters again when the 6 is rumoured :)

Not seeing much in the specs to upgrade from my S4 just yet. Especially with the rather average camera Google devices are prone to have.

Will either look at the LG G2, or wait for the S5

Other than the grunty snapdragon 800 processor there is nothing outstanding in the list of rumoured specs so i don't see it being any real upgrade over my GPe'd One or a GPe'd S4, that said if i was in the market for a high end phone I very much doubt anything will touch it on price.

Most of the specs now confirmed here.

One of the canadian carriers have listed them on their pre-reg site. Launch of this device must be very close!

Anyone keen to order me one 32gb black when they are ordering theirs? Happy to share shipping and GST/processing fee of course. I had a lot of problem ordering through with ASB card. Please do let me know I would very much appreciate it. Thanks!

Is this one of the worst phone announcements ever? We've known the specs are weeks and what it looks like for months. It's been put up on stores, then taken down, manuals released etc.

Gets to the point where you just get pissed off and buy something else.
