So I got one of the "free" T-Sticks last December and I havent really used it that much.  I am able to text BAL to 333 from the Connection Manager and that tells me my balance but not much other useful information.  I can't tell what my usage has been or when my credit expires.  I'm guessing the credit will be expiring soon since it has a 6 month date.  I have a vague memory of logging in to a website and checking some stuff but can't seem to get it to work anymore and I couldnt find any useful infomation.

This page seems to suggest http://www.telecom.co.nz/mbbmeter but I get an HTTP 500 error.  I looked back to the discussion from the time and the suggestions are:


Have I just tried at a bad time and the system is down?  I suppose I could put the SIM in my phone and try that but I was really hoping for something I could do from my laptop via my home/work internet connection.  Don't even know if there's anything I can use on my phone, it's a Nokia 6500 so has the regular web browser and Opera Mini.  I've never really bothered to use either.

I just tried the mbbmeter page and it worked perfectly.

I tried at work and I was able to access the mbbmeter page too. However, I don't know my password so I tried the steps to resend it etc but they didn't work as I didn't have cookies enabled. As soon as I enabled cookies, I got the HTTP 500 error again. If I don't enable cookies I get an error about LDAP and a link to this page https://login.telecom.co.nz/amdistauth/UI/Login?gx_charset=UTF-8 but I still can't get it to log in.

I ended up having a bit of a play about and managed to get it to work by putting telecom.co.nz in my trusted sites. Shoud I need to do this? I'll have to check things out and see exactly why it's not working otherwise.

P.S. That page is a bit useless anyway. It only tells you your credit and how much data you used this month (mbbmeter - Mobile Broadband Meter I guess? - should have been a clue). Is there anyhere that gives me more info on my balance/expiry etc?

Hi I had the exact same problem and I had to ring customer support from another phone and ask them, I obviously got the overseas call center because it took me about 30 minutes of explaining before they understood what I meant, and then they tried to tell me my sim card would never expire and had to go check and then eventually told me when I needed to top up to keep the sim card alive.
