Basic run-down here is that for some reason, the digital receiver I have seems to dislike the idea of picking up the freeview transponders on Optus D1. When I scan, all I can pick up is sky digital channels.

12456H has ~85% strength but 0% quality.
12483H has 0% strength and 0% quality.

Sky digital transponders work fine however.

12670H, 12295H, 12420H, 12518H, 12707H and 12734H are all ~85% strength and 100% quality

I have a Transonic TWH-S1 receiver.

If you need any more information, just ask and I'll try to provide it.

I appear to have lost the edit button, heh.

LNB is 10750, 11300 detects nilch.

S/R is 22500

Well, I seem to have fixed the problem by setting the polarisation as vertical. I'm pretty sure something is set up wrong, but it all works now, so that's sweet.

I appear to have lost the edit button again Laughing

I can now get ~85% strength and ~100% quality on 12456MHz by switching the polarisation to vertical.
12483 I can get to ~85% strength by switching to vertical, but the quality is still 0%.

Also, the channels that work show up in perfect colour for a few seconds and then switch to black and white.

Any ideas? Is the satellite dish set up incorrectly or what?

Go into the menu and reset to factory default, these boxes will set auto the lnb and autoscan the channels for you

I have done that several times and it fails to tune. I set the country and region, west coast for me, and then scan. All I get is a message saying that tuning failed.
