Sierra Wireless Aircard 580 CDMA EVDO support for Windows Vista

By Mauricio Freitas, in , posted: 9-MAY-2007 18:56

If you are connected to Telecom New Zealand (or other operators) and using a Sierra Wireless Aircard 580 to plug into its CDMA EVDO network, here is good news: you can now download Windows Vista drivers for Aircard 580 with support for 32 bit and 64 bit.

I have had a 580 card for 2 years, I have had problems with it mainly broken connections and also with the telecom accounting. (they often overbill me)
Wondering if you have had any other people reporting problems with this card

Thanks
Adrian

Hmmm. No I haven't heard anything like that. Of course disconnections can happen on mobile technologies and are highly dependent on where you are using it, interferences, etc...

I have a 580 card has been working okay until the day I desided to activate the lock code. I activated the lock code to lock modem on power on and didn't change or set any lock code. On power on the card requires me to insert a four digit code which I didn't change or set. I think the default code would work but I don't know the default. Can someone help me out or give me directions on how to unlock this 580 card?
