It looks good, I did a couple of test searches using more than one word and got a good collection of results returned. Nice One TradeMe.
We've given our search results a fresh new look, with bigger photos and more information to make finding what you want easier than ever.
For example, you can now see the Buy Now price and seller location on general items. And if you're looking for a new house or car, you can browse every photo right on the search results page.

Drat, and now my scripts no longer work.... They were the only way to use trademe without getting frustrated.
though search is a positive result, much more informative.

I actually think TradeMe has new web designers, or programmers than do not know how to style.
As you've probably already seen - there's a new big brown navigation bar at the top of the search results page which has the links for sort by, brand new etc. with a lot of wasted space on it, and it just looks like it's been put together by someone with no style in my opinion.
They've increased the font for the links and reserve prices to about 12pt Arial bold - which has some people hating it (including me). And they have margined the reserve prices and flags to the hard right. Making it hard on the eyes when trying to look at the photo then the reserve price.
The listings with no gallery now get a huge camera icon, and get just as much height as the other listings, so it's a pain browsing through those listings where sellers list ten items (with no gallery) at a time, all grouped together.
Gone are the days where Sam and the team would put 'agonize' (as Rowan Simpson once said) and put together an interface the users would fall in love with. I don't know who's doing all the user interface stuff lately on TradeMe, but they plain right suck!
