How to Dump an HTC Apache ROM -
I will cover the most basic method first, this is ideal for taking a rom Backup prior to reflashing or performing similar actions which are usually considered irreverseable.
for this method you will need
A Mini-SD at least 64MB, preferably 128MB+
A copy of MTTY.exe from HTC,
ok, first of all copy all the data off your SD / delete it, it needs to be blank.
disconnect your apache from your computer.
on your computer open the connection settings in Activesync, (right click on the activesync icon, select
connection settings)
untick "allow usb connections"
press ok.
press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC (open task manager)
go to the PROCESSES tab
right click on WCESMgr.exe, right click and terminate process.
do the same for wcescomm.exe.
--on the apache / Harrier--
Put your apache into Bootloader mode. you do this by
Pressing POWER+NOTES and soft-reset
this will load you into the boot loader.
connect your device via the cradle.
on your computer Open MTTY.exe
You will see:

click USB
you will be presented with:

Press Enter,
you should see a USB> prompt.
type D2S 74100000 00a00000
you should then see the following:

this will back your rom up to the card, when it is finished you should get

you can now disconnect your phone and soft reset to go back into normal mode.
becareful! if you have written your rom to the storage card, and you have the storage card in the device, it will detect the image and prompt "PRESS POWER TO FLASH"
if you press power, it will reflash the device.
this is also how you reload the rom.
---- next in the series ... How to extract the files from your rom, modify then rebuild them.----

Nifty!
I'm wondering if it would be possible to flash an OEM Apache with a TCNZ NZ ROM and have it function correctly. I have the oppurtunity of obtaining some rather cheap...
Any thoughts much appreciated.
Regards

On another forum (XDA developers) you mentioned that dumping the ROM on Ameo will work, but the addressing will be different. Can you give more details, please.
