What I want to know is who are the real terrorists here?
I'm not doubting that many of those arrested were up to no good, but surely we have many laws which would cover this sort of behaviour / weapon use, that doesn't require the "terrorist" label?
in a number of ways I feel as though this is giving many of these groups too much weight!
I think this has more to do with the political agenda than that of the public good, the timing is just far too convenient,
especially if you consider the "anti-terrorism" bill currently before Parliment which will, if passed, enable the prime minister to decide who is a terrorist, rather than the courts.
this is getting more and more concerning, you can be sure of one thing, if people start getting arrested and find out that they will not get a fair trial, nor a fair hearing in court, you can be CERTAIN, that they will start to truly fight back.
there needs to be something done before the situation spirals out of control, such as has happened in other countries around the world.

Call them what you will... terrorists may be a too stronger word, but if you are up to 'no good' then lock 'em up I say!
Are you saying that we should let them roam free so that they won't 'fight back'? I fully back what the police have done, although we, the general public will never know what actually took place. There will be plenty of spin and Tame will get his 15mins of fame again *yawn*.

islamic militancy was at it's highest in the 1980's - but that won't stop any government manipulating what our fears should be, people are easier to control when they are fearful.

Misguided? People running around with guns, training in camps and being recorded as saying they were declaring war on their own country.
Lock 'em up and throw away the key. Better yet, give them to the US, at least they know how to deal with terrorists.
