technology that excites me: BrainGate from Cyberkinetics
well the flying car is still being delayed,
the robots working for us are everywhere (dishwashers, i-Robot Roomba, etc)
and now it looks like we are on the verge of the next level of human existence,
feasible functioning cyberorganic technology.
now fair enough to say that i am possibly letting my mind run a little wild,
but what they are doing / achieving / trialing over at Cyberkinetics (http://www.cyberkineticsinc.com/content/index.jsp) is incredibly exciting! the potential!
the braingate technology will be an absolute miracle for those who are motor impaired, but Im thinking further than that, it should totally revolutionise how we interface with computers,
to quote the site "The BrainGate™ System is designed to provide a means for people with severe motor impairment a new method to communicate with a computer directly with their thoughts."
Its just fantastic, this is the sort of stuff I love to see on the horizon.

Just couple of weeks a go before I stumbled on this article my parents were having a conversation while watching spiderman 2 where Dr. Octavius attached four mechanical arms to his body. Thinking it would so horrible to live in that world. I can only imagine how excited army generals are looking into technology like this. Sky is the limit... ability to control tanks and war planes with a thought through a computer without even being any where near the war zone? War will be completely different ball game in the next world war. Where soldiers would be using computers and brains to fight the enemy. Oh my gosh...I can go on and on...

I always wished my head had a USB port - think of the storage! not mention the possibility you could watch your memories on a big screen
