Olympus competition picture speaks ruder than a thousand words

Spoken language is difficult enough, especially when it comes to English on either side of the Atlantic, but as this contribution to the Olympus Proof Competition reveals, gesturing can produce some interesting awkwardness too, depending on the cultural context.

Update Wikipedia page that tries to explain what flicking the V or two-finger salute is about.

Hi Scott,
I don't think the image offended anybody - obviously, that gesture isn't taken that way in the States. It was just mildly amusing to receive an email promoting the competition, with a two-finger salute to accompany it.
