I finally got 5 minutes of consistent internet connectivity on Vodafone and just watched the funniest thing I've seen in a long time.
If only NZ could have such high end CG animations of stories on the news.

For those wondering - I think the whole iPhone4 antenna thing is being blown way out of proportion.

The main problem with the Apple antenna issue is, that Apple are supposed to be masters of design and they failed. When it was pointed out that there was an issue, they failed to promptly accept responsibility and instead blamed the users and say it was ok, because other phone makers have failed too. That was pretty low.

I think people (unreasonably) expect perfection from Apple. Apple did realise there was a storm in a tea cup and they needed to take some control of the narrative. In reality m ost people just don't have a problem -

Apple could have been more proactive but even if they had been, it could only have been a week or 2 sooner. Remember Google and their whole lack of support for the Nexus One - that took about as long for them to fixed it as well.

I'm looking forward to getting a iPhone4 and if its reception is noticeably worse than my 3GS, I'll take it back - but as a person who spends 95% of his time in central Auckland I think it'll be a non-issue and I'll just end up with a really good phone.

My current setup is a Early 2008 17" Macbook Pro (C2D 2.5Ghz, 4gb, 320Gb, UWXGA Screen).
