Telecom and Big Time survey

, posted: 19-Nov-2009 16:40

Some of you might know that we've decided to go Big Time in the next two months or so.

Some might say "noooo, it's the worst decision you'll ever make", others may say "why they hell aren't ya on Big Time already?"

Well - for the purposes of collecting that detail, I've decided to make a survey.

I'm using Google Docs with Forms to do it, with their simple interface and good selection of features. It even has simple summaries so I can view results in a glance.

Not only will it be just for myself (I'm not that selfish...) - it'll also gauge what you feel and have experienced, and results will be posted here at the start of December.

So if:

  • you're currently on Big Time, or

  • previously on Big Time

... please take a moment to fill out my survey at: http://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=dEVWSFlFRENfeW5iVTFQUVFHV294ZXc6MA

Yea I recently changed to Telecom Bigtime from Telstraclear Cable due to price etc, speed was never a major drawcard for me, and I have to say what I have seen from Telecom Bigtime I'm happy with. Sure its not the 10Mb down 2Mb up of TCL, but I get a steady 7Mb down and 650kb up from Telecom, with pretty much no worry about bandwidth. Makes me happy :)

Re: Question: Rate performance of Big Time with the following factors

I haven’t done any File sharing or Gaming ( I don’t play games online), how should I answer that question?

You should really had an n/a box or those two questions.

PS: I haven’t submitted the survey yet....

@stu28 - Darn. Google doesn't allow me to put more than 5 columns. I'll work out a way soon.

@stu28 - Done - split the two apart now.

Hi mate, would you like to host your survey on our website? no charge... we are just looking at getting into offering services outside of scientific research. Haven't made the changes yet but will do soon. We can embed your form on a page too. Anyway, let me know if your keen.

Cheers,

Jamie
