Spend some money! (funny pics)

Our major International Airport is known for high landing charges and exorbidant parking prices, and also well known for not spending money on maintenance.

The fact these are still "goldfish bowl" CRT is bad enough....

Oh dear... when was that flight again? MSFS on NDIS route going to Indonesia?

Hey at least the projector was cheap! shame about the limited bulb life with these "home use" projectors.

Oh dear......

BUT! not all is bad, Ever had that irresistable urge to weigh yourself at check-in? well your problems are solved.

I was 80KG, bloody Christmas!

Buses may not fart here. OMG, a first generation 737, with old-school TurboJET's

"what happened next"

And here are a couple of pics from around the world. Shows windows really is just a pig of an OS.

Crashed or broken flight information displays are incredibly common airport wide.  I've often watched the displays in the Auckland Koru Club rebooting, complete with Windows Me running the backend and watching someone manually moving the mouse to start the display app.

A recent trip through Sydney International & Domestic yielded about a dozen blue screened FIDS; and at least one train info display offline ("Keyboardr error, Press F1 to continue").

Qantas premium checkin at AKL recently also had a broken display of some kind, I think it was hung at a BIOS prompt as well.  Melbourne customs regularly has a Fujitsu pop-up reminding you that this application is unlicenced and is now 1000 days past it's trial period.

lol, I have been sorting pics a plenty and just added a couple from london.

I love the "trial period expired" one but... classic!

you could almost have a channel on the "crashed kiosk" topic!

Blog is to be removed due to the difficulty in procuring free file storage. I have a lot of stuff to post but I need simple storage in order to make any posts worthwhile to the masses.

This entire blog will be lopped around the end of March 2010 so if you want to keep any articles, save them now!

I'll be cleaning out some now leaving only tech stuff though much is very out of date regardless.
