I just want to say that this login screen is a complete joke; you can bypass the login screen and view the item for free by replacing “http://login.nzherald.co.nz/?redir=http://www” with subs.
For example for the URL http://login.nzherald.co.nz/?redir=http://www.nzherald.co.nz/column/story.cfm?c_id=702&ObjectID=10394398
With: Subs To make: subs.nzherald.co.nz/column/story.cfm?c_id=702&ObjectID=10394398
For some reason; the company has not encrypted the page with anything secure…

I have also noted, and have done this for some time if you search for some of the new articles you can also view if for free, via the NZ Herald Search option.
