I saw this on freitasm's blog.

I have signed up and embedded their chat client on my (minimalist) home page, and I've put the link to it in my sig. More as an experiment really, to see how many of the people I email contact me this way ...

Unlike Meebo, which won't connect with your regular IM client, this one does. I am using iChat with a Jabber account. Plugoo supports MSN, Yahoo, GoogleTalk & any other Jabber account, AIM and ICQ.

I like IM but it's a struggle to get my contacts to cross the threshold, especially the older ones. Perhaps this will do it ... ?

I wonder what Plugoo's business model is?

Some time ago, I embedded a Skype "Call Me" link as well as a Skype Status message as part of my signature at the bottom of my e-mails.

It's taken a little time to get going, but more and more people are using it now.  I got a Skype Call from a customer in Ireland last night.  It was nice talking to him and he is now in my Contact List.

IM is great

Grant has the honour of being the first person to IM me this way ...

I've just noticed they're a French company. Nice to see a non-US effort. But having looked through their site, I'm still puzzled by their business model ...

Does anyone know a way to get Plugoo to use the Skype messaging. I don't want people phoning me on Skype!
