T-Mobile bans VoIP on data plans.

I guess it had to happen.

T-Mobile UK have announced that VoIP is a big no no on it's new 3G data plans. They've gone as far as threatening to terminate your account and disconnect your SIM card if VoIP usage is detected!

Terminating a SIMS for using a form of data on a data card but porn surfing is ok.

Isn't the T-Mobile per minute really cheap though? Much less than VoIP rates. Not that it excuses T-Mobile, but...

Yeah their rates are cheap but VoIP isn't just about cheap pricing it's also the features - your phone being a SIP extension from your work PBX for example.
