Vodafone (UK)'s new wap gateway.

storm brewing over in the UK, over vodafone's new gateway. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2007/06/06/vodafone_mobile_internet/ The new gateway, hailed for it's content adaption abilities, has issues. The first being it doesn't pass the phone's User Agent to websites, and also has several problems with downloadable content. Reminds me of the google mobile proxy, which had the same issues @ launch. They still handle downloadables wrong (with an invalid content error), but at least you can escape from the google proxy now thanks to some links "View in HTML"

Vodafone here is actually surprisingly good with data and WAP and provide 3 options for choice (APN). but overseas, Forget it.
