I got my badge (tagged as MEDIA), but didn't have a roll-on bag for me - apparently the "media" people get one after the keynote in the press room.
I walked around, checking out the hands-on lab room - almost empty, but again it was Sunday almost 8pm... The MarketPlace is empty, except for the crews working on their stands. I had a chance to met a couple of Microsoft New Zealand guys, Mabode's Jay Templeton, and the Provoke crew preparing their stand for the Provoke Carnival.
After this quick tour I walked to a restaurant nearby to catch the .Net user group leaders and some of the folks who participated in today's .Net Dev Code Camp 2007. Everyone in good form, ready for tomorrow's start.
The SKYCITY Convention Centre is a great venue, and it is interesting to see the Marketplace empty - it will be more interesting to see it tomorrow buzzing with 2,300 people going around this place.
