Child Cancer Foundation Fundraising

By tonyhughes Hughes, in , posted: 1-Apr-2006 15:57

Yesterday I shaved my head in return for donations to the Child Cancer Foundation in New Zealand. You didnt hear about it on here as I have had a dead cellphone and two dead modems in a very short space of time and have not been very 'connected' !

Before and after pics, plus a group shot...

It was in conjunction with 'The Professionals' Real Estate team in Hastings, and we raised $2500 in sponsorship for the haircuts, and $2000 more in street donations. I personally raised $560 from friends, family and business contacts in the 4 hours or so I had to do so before the great shave off (I had committed to it whilst under the influence of alcohol, and forgot until the night before!!)

Thanks to Willy de Wit for hosting the event, and Panache Hairdressers Hastings for doing the deed :-)

Kids, try this at home and post the results on a website somewhere :-)

Thanks to everyone who contributed, including our very own Mauricio Freitas here at Geekzone.
