Via Engadget it appears that Apple is syncing a worldwide launch, and of course, our time zone benefits us greatly.

It will be interesting to see who gets some information up on the web first!

I also hear murmurs about Vodafone making some exciting announcements (plural) soon too.

Can't wait (despite the fact I have just had to port back to Telecom).

Steve Jobs always annouced that the iPhone was going to be a worldwide release on 11 July. Vodafone confirmed we would have it on the 11th so naturally that means we get it first. I even blogged that a few weeks ago:

I wish that Voda would get thier ass into gear regarding pricing for the iPhone, my Nokia is on it's last legs and I would like to know if it's worth waiting around and getting an iPhone, or if Voda is going to put some horrible and expensive contract terms on it.
