Currently connected at 26.4kbps, my first dialup session in over a year. Its very painful!
Phone Xtra, and they said an authentication server is down, confirmed the Waikato line number im on is part of the affected group of connections, and gave no ETA for repair, other than "tomorrow morning hopefully".
Given the recent track record, id say that this might send a few customers packing off to other ISPs such as Slingshot or IHug.
Shame on you Xtra - wheres the redundancy?

So... does GZ work on dialup and lowspeed one to boot? Been meaning to try as I think I've got dialup access with my Xtra DSL account.

Thanks for the offer Annette but the outage also affected UBS customers - switching to Slingshot may not give people the interweb either..:-)
