I successfully installed the Winbond SD driver for WindowsXP from SoftPaq 24430 to Windows Vista RC1 (build 5600) on my Compaq nx7010 as described by "chiefie" using the "wbsd.inf" rather than "setup.exe"
The drive will format my 2GB SD-Card down to 950MB, but then works fine.
So thanks!

Oh! Last night when I did an installation for Vista Pre-RTM build 5728, I discovered that SoftPaq does not want to install as it complained it cannot find the OS Version. A workaround is to use manual driver update, and point to the folder where SoftPaq has extracted the content to (you do know where that is located, right?)
So once again, good luck and enjoy.
p/s: 5728 is speedy! But for some reason, it causes my poor x1030AP not to hibernate properly. Haven't tried sleep mode.
