Updating blog CSS

, posted: 10-Jan-2007 11:45

To all readers, please forgive me for the "ugliness" of my blog appearance. In over the next few days, I am working on updating my blog CSS and so hopefully, it will be attractive once again. However, this will not prevent you from your reading-pleasure for my blog entry update, it just "look" ugly that's all, for now...

Access to HEAD tag granted. Please proceed. :)

You could keep the blog running with the old CSS and use the sandbox - only you can see the new CSS... You just have to enable it in your blog config page.

Items need lining up but this is a good start... nice and wide.

Oh 3 column, I like it. Now it just needs to look flash! Nice work.

The three column design is mainly for the reason that UMPC will become more common and its screen resolution is at 800x480. So with the main content area set at short of 800px wide, then it will sit comfortably on a maximised browser view, while the sidebar and related information section can be excused off the view. Next, as Brad mentioned, would be flashing it up a bit to make the appearance more appealing. If anyone interested, I mainly use position:absolute and position:relative to get the 2nd and 3rd column. With 3rd column coming from part of the "innerrighttable" section. This changeover took about 4 hours, with the hardest part being to get many of the BR tags to play right.
