Should I or shouldn't I?

I thought I have made up my mind on which direction to travel down for my next phone upgrade... and sort of planned on what devices to get to compliment the phone for my "everday" usage.

I was camping with Pocket PC (HP HX4700) for its VGA display and dual-memory slots (CF and SD), as well the upgrade to WM5. But then I moved on from that thought to UMPC/UX, however neither both support PCMCIA for use with my Vodafone Mobile Connect card, which does not answer my single converged unit (read the entire post)...

Wrong delivery address

Alright, we placed an order tonight for a couple of large pizzas. So went to Pizza Hut online and did the usual and ordered it. On the finalisation of the order, I not only double-, triple- but quadruply-checked the address is correct.

Got the email confirmation, and checked the items and the address, sweet all correct.

Waited...

And waited...

And more waiting...

Then got a phone call from the delivery guy from Shirley suburb... th (read the entire post)...

Nokia Nseries

In any commercial, the main attraction of the commercial may not be the product itself, but the tune they used in the commercial.

Looking at Nokia's Nseries commercials, they chose to use Moby's In My Heart which I think is a great choice. That tune instantly grabs my attention and also got me hooked to the music and the products they are selling.

The latest Nseries commercial I have seen is the N93, which this guy was bored in the hotel room. He decided to take his N93 and (read the entire post)...

Me as a Mayfly

, posted: 14-Aug-2006 10:19

Being a Vodafone user myself, and a sucker for a great commercial and the tune used in commercial; I decided to set out on a hunt for the song and a bit more depth into mayflies and what's the reason of Vodafone using it as part of their NOW campaign.

I am proud to announce to everyone that, in the next day or so, my mayfly will hatch and live on Vodafone Mayfly (UK) site up to 24 hours before it fades off from the face of the e-Earth.

Check it out in the next 24 hours, (read the entire post)...

Good Recovery

Near the end of Monday, I finally got somewhere with the issue I had with TelstraClear Customer Call centre. TelstraClear got the gesture that their company is on the line and is out in the public, which could potentially damage their brand if they're not careful.

I would like to thank the people in TelstraClear and Geekzone that helped me through with moving forward with getting my issue sorted. The faulty VMC card was on its way up to Wellington, and I also received the temporary (read the entire post)...

Humbleness and calmness

, posted: 7-Aug-2006 16:37

Often when we are dealing with people, especially over phone or IM or in situation where you are physically unable to have conversation with another party face-to-face, we may strike some sensitive conversation or topic and we get frustrated, angry, or even verbally violent.

Over the weekend, I experienced this myself and I must admit, it was not nice. I understand the frustration that I had with the episode I over the weekend, and how it can affect anyone that I came contact with. It (read the entire post)...

Sorry, you're a residential customer

If you have follow my earlier blog post, you will know that my Vodafone/Novatel Merlin U630 has decided to crap itself out over the weekend while I was up in Wellington.

I have talked to Johnr and also been on the phone with Vodafone/TelstraClear customer call centre and somehow I still feel that I'm heading no where with the issue. (Not Johnr's fault)...

Although Johnr has gone out of his way to suggest and tried to help as much as he can, and we both concluded tha (read the entire post)...

Internet access in the hotel

... usually are expensive and somewhat "alright".

At Copthorne Plimmer Towers, they provide internet access for $33.95 for 24 hours period (max, or $0.68 per minute). Which gives you 50MB traffic access, and in excess of 50MB, it is $0.10 per 1MB in the 24 hours period.

I have gone through our first 24 hours and probably used 60MB in total. All this because my VMC is not working as intended...

Why? well it worked fine for a few hours, and now it refuses to work. (read the entire post)...
