N-Gage QD game deck starts shipping in Europe, Africa and Asia Pacific
Nokia started shipping the new member of the N-Gage platform, the N-Gage QD game deck, announced last April. The new mobile gaming device is being launched in Europe, Africa and Asia Pacific. The company says that some users will be able to buy the N-Gage QD for as low as 49.99 in some markets, with a contract.

The N-Gage QD is a compact device with a hot-swappable multimedia (MMC) slot for instant gaming. It also offers longer battery life, improved gaming controls, brighter screen when compared with the original N-Gage. Gamers will be able to play their favorite N-Gage titles, connect to the worldwide mobile gaming community over mobile networks via the N-Gage Arena as well as take part in close-range mobile multiplayer gaming via Bluetooth.

The N-Gage QD game deck also supports some smartphone features such as personal information management, XHTML browser, email and the possibility to download and install additional Series 60 applications.
