"Industry analysts have identified the Financial Services sector as the number one growth opportunity within the wireless industry," said Dave Shworan, CEO of QuoteMedia. "With the quality of our Quotestream product and with the strong relationships we are forging with the world's leading handheld manufacturers, distributors and carriers, we are confident QuoteMedia will develop significant market share in this exciting new sector. The launch of our application for these 46 new devices increases our potential market dramatically."

The company says that with 1.5 billion wireless subscribers expected worldwide by the end of the year, industry analysts forecast the worldwide mobile phone market to surpass 595 million units shipped in 2004. Through 2008, the market will continue to expand until it reaches nearly an all-replacement sales scenario towards the end of the decade with over 800 million mobile phones shipping annually.

Quotestream Wireless is compatible with most wireless service providers in the US and Canada, including AT&T Wireless, BELL, Nextel, Cingular, BellSouth, T-Mobile USA, Rogers Wireless Communications and Telus Mobility.
